| Odd happenings after childbirth..........................
Now that I am back on Xanga, I thought I would do my best to tell a story before the Xanga Queen gets online. This gives me much pleasure since my wife seems to be quick to the draw when it comes to posting.
Well, most of you know that my wife just had our first baby. It was quite the traumatic delivery, so to make life just a little easier, our doctor prescribed a little stool softener. Yep, this stuff makes you need to go silky smooth when the moment comes to visit the throne. It also has the unfortunate ability to cause you to need to go instantly. If you know us well you will also know that we love our cats. The other morning, we were up early and we let our cats in since they had been begging to get in all night. Well, my wife had set her medicine out the night before in order for her to be able to quickly take them as soon as we got up. Yes, you know where this is going. Polo, our slightly skittish Siamese, decided to come in and investigate what was near the bed. He quickly proceeded to find the pills and lick them until the not so tasty medicine leaked out of the gel cap. What happened next threw us into a panic until we discovered what had happened. We find Polo on our bed foaming at the mouth and looking very confused. Naomi quickly ordered me out of bead to investigate what was the matter. When I sprang out of bed I scared Polo out of the room. While looking for him I discovered a very large pile of poop on our bedroom floor. I couldn't believe my eyes. It was all happening so fast. I finally found Polo and captured the terrified creature. We looked all over the house and found the one pill Polo had decided to lick, the stool softener. Polo had licked it and once the human dosage of medicine hit his system, he could not control himself. I am not joking when I say that this was the largest pile of cat poo I have ever seen.
Polo is ok now but it sure messed up his day and gave us a good laugh in the process. The lesson to take away here is for us all to remember to take our medicine before our cats do.
Do you have any other wild or odd after childbirth stories?

| Ok, so I realized that I have had this thing up for more than a year now and thought I should post something new. For you guys who know me well, you will know that Naomi and I just had a baby, Zadie Lane Latimer. She is one week old today and is the most beautiful baby ever. You can go to my wife's site for all the pictures to prove it.
We now live near Denver, CO and are loving the mountains and life out West. If I have failed to respond to your posts over the past year, I ask that you forgive me. My hope is to keep up with you all and do a better job of staying connected.
Sincerely,
Brett

| Hello everyone,
I thought I should post something now that I have a site and all. Currently, we are over at our good friend's house, Josh and Meghan Baylor, having breakfast. He makes such good coffee. They have done such a good job at making Sunday mornings meaningful community time for our church and others.
Well, got to go. More posts to come.

Dear Friends and Family,
Greetings from warm and sunny Boston! I swear, we went from 50 degrees and raining to 90 degrees and sunny overnight! I think we skipped spring alltogether!
Brett and I have some exciting news that we wanted to share with you. We have been talking a lot lately about starting a family, and we have decided to start the process of adoption. Brett and I have known from the very beginning of our relationship that we both wanted to adopt someday. We feel that this is the right time for us to begin the process.
Because of my health and our battle with Lyme disease it is dangerous for me to conceive a child at this point. We are hopefull that with treatment we will be able to have biological children somday as well as adopted children. We trust that the Lord knows what is best for us. We do not feel that by adopting we are limiting our ability to have our own biological children in the future. And adopting does not mean that our faith in God’s healing isn’t strong. We believe that our God is capable of anything!
Please pray for us as we start this process! Brett and I do not feel ready to bring home a child yet, but we also know that adoption can take years and we want to go ahead and start the process. We love you all and want to share our joy with you!
Love in Christ, Brett & Naomi
